Detalles del clon 117 a días de su regreso a UK, el 17 de septiembre de 1982
Aquí tenemos algunas vistas desde el HMS Bristol quien esperaba la finalización del casco 117 para escoltarlo en su regreso reemplazando al Invencible hundido.
La popa esta practicamente idéntica a la que pocos días después entra a Portsmouth (carece de la mancha que caracterizo a la popa del R05 original en MLV).
En cambio a estribor aun se notan detalles que demuestran que es un casco recien finalizado y recien pintado haciendo sus primeras trials.
Se observa la corrección que debieron hacer en el número y posición del ventanitas o sentinas, de forma tal que se observa una rectangulo en cada grupo con una mano de pintura más.
Luego los remaches se hallan a medio pintar casi desde media eslora hacia proa.
Toda esa banda fue nuevamente pintada antes del regreso y luce impecable el 17/9/82.
En ningun caso lucen como un buque que lleva entre 5 y 5,5 meses de navegación.
Y si se tratase de ua reparacion del R05 averiado, esta debio haberse hecho a babor y no a estribor.

Vamos a los juegos Olímpicos?
En las brumas del destino, surgió una nueva alternativa de sobrevida para el new Ark Royal.
Están evaluando utilizarlo para los Juegos Olímpicos de 2012 como Helipuerto Oficial para las fuerzas de seguridad, bomberos y ambulancias aéreas.
Lástima que no compita en ninguna disciplina olímpica para poder simular un desmayo y poder echarle un vistazo de cerca.
Me imagino que tendrán la precaución de repintar las zonas donde el rótulo sea distinto de MADE IN UK.

Los heridos Fantasmas del HMS Hydra y el HMS Invencible
El 30 de mayo de 1982 Se registra un ingreso de 49 heridos al buque hospital HMS Hydra.
Según la página en wikipedia del buque hospital, los recibió en la denominada "Red Cross Box 2" ubicada al norte y al este de las islas (ver mapa en google aquí: Cross Box 2) el día 30 de mayo.

Aquí tenemos una foto del buque operando junto a su gemelo el Hecla (el marcado en rojo es el Hydra)
Sin embargo los heridos no los recibió desde el Hecla sino que las fuentes indican que provenían del SS Uganda.
Según la página en wikipedia del buque hospital, los recibió en la denominada "Red Cross Box 2" ubicada al norte y al este de las islas (ver mapa en google aquí: Cross Box 2) el día 30 de mayo.

Erran en dos cosas:
1- El Uganda se encontraba a cientos de kilomentros de distancia en el estrecho de Grantham cercano a Pradera del Ganso y Darwin, recogiendo fiambres y heridos donde estuvo hasta el 31 de Mayo. (no pueden blanquear lo de los heridos en Darwin que justifique su presencia allí, por eso lo dan en la cross box)

2- Mencionan que los heridos eran causa del ataque al RFA Sir Galahad, que fue el 8 de junio y no el 30 de mayo.

Por último también llama la atención que no haya registros adicionales de ese traspaso en:
